QUIZ Arena FAQ

1What is QUIZ Arena?
It's a space that's a bit like a TV studio - a quiz game. Each player has their own game table at which they stand or sit. Quiz questions are projected on a large screen in front of the players, which you answer by selecting from a number of options. For correct answers, you earn points, which are added up and there is an overall score at the end of the game. The quiz game always has a winner - one of the players. So here you are competing against each other.
2How many players can compete at once?
The QUIZ Arena has 6 gaming places (tables) behind which the players stand. The minimum number of players is two, the ideal number is six. If there are more of you, you can form pairs and play as teams against each other. Just note that there is not much space between the tables.
3What are the questions in the quiz game?
The course of the game is partly determined by you. Before the game starts, you choose 6 thematic areas in which you want to compete. We're always adding topics, so if you want to play again, you can always compete with different questions. Each topic will show you 15 questions during the game. These are really varied, some topics contain easy questions, some are harder. They are all designed to keep players mainly entertained, but you might learn something new even if you don't know the answers.
4What is the appropriate minimum age for players?
A normal quiz, as long as you pick "normal" topics, so 15+. With normal topics, even 12 year olds have quizzed, but there's been quite a bit of guessing there. You can do family pairs (mom+daughter and dad+son) and compete as two pairs. We have some topics with questions for 9-13 year olds, so we can tailor the content a bit for younger players.
5What about the maximum appropriate age?
You can take both grandma and grandpa to quiz. In the quiz room you can sit comfortably in front of your game tables and have fun to your heart's content. Answering the questions is very easy - just press the "buzzers" to mark your answer.
6Can I win anything in this game?
In the QUIZ Arena, you compete as players against each other and at the end the game has a winner among you. It's up to the individual game to decide whether to give the winner a prize or not. Respectively, how they deal with the results:) There is no limit to your imagination (e.g. the last one pays for all the drinks drunk during the game). From our side we do not evaluate the game. It is your private event.
7Does the game have a moderator?
No, this game does not have a live moderator. The whole game works automatically. The questions are of course displayed on your screens, but each one is also read out. The feel of a TV show is quite nice, but you don't get stressed by the cameras.
8Can we have any snacks with us during the game?
Yes, you can have snacks during the game. There is a fridge right in the quiz room with drinks and small snacks that you can buy during the game (preferably in the breaks between rounds).
9Can you add our own questions to the game?
Yes, we do. Adding questions as one topic with 15 questions costs 20€ (implementation in the game including voiceover). However, you have to supply us with the questions including 4 answer choices, 1 of which is correct. If you want to add your own questions, or a complete quiz, please contact us in advance.
10What if we don't know the right answer to anything?
Nobody is perfect, but you don't have to worry about this. You don't have to play themes that are explicitly difficult and specific. When choosing topics, you'll know roughly what they're about and what mix of questions there are. Each topic contains both easy and harder questions. Sometimes it might be just a guessing game on your part, but believe me, it's good fun too:)
11Can there be spectators at the game?
Yes they can. However, the room is not a real big studio, but you can have 3 to 5 people as spectators during the game.
